Located in the heart of Southwestern Ontario, between lakes Erie, Huron and St. Clair, the medical needs of the 107,000 residents of Chatham-Kent are serviced by Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. With a campus in Chatham and another in Wallaceburg, the progressive partnership totals 280 beds and state-of-the-art technology and support services. A $70 million restructuring project in Chatham houses seven new operating suites, rehabilitation and continuing care, diagnostic imaging using the picture archiving computerized system (PACS) and new emergency rooms that have doubled in space. At the Sydenham Campus in Wallaceburg, a $2 million project was recently completed to make CKHA become a provincial leader in health care. Currently, CKHA is a team of 1200 staff including 108+ physician, 550 nurses and 300 allied health professionals.
